Level: fourth year

Length:
Six months between the beginning of January and the end of June, or between the beginning of July and the end of December, in France or abroad.

Objectives:

This longer internship, after four years of training at IÉSEG, places students in managerial environments that provide them with opportunities to develop their ability to:

	analyse a situation or problem
	propose operational solutions
	take on responsibility

This internship also exposes students to questions concerning relations and behaviours within companies and organisations.

It gives students an opportunity not only to observe, but also to participate as fully as possible in their work environment, carrying-out assignments with a maximum of efficiency. Usually, a manager within the company or organisation is designated as a “mentor” for the student.

The assignment
The nature of the assignment is left to the student and may depend on his or her aspirations and/or career plans. All major fields of management taught at IÉSEG may form an assignment subject: finance, marketing, management control, operations, human resources, etc.

During internships
A permanent IÉSEG staff-member oversees all internships and maintains close contact with the managers responsible for the students. This contact is generally organised as a set of interviews during which all three people meet and review the students’ progress.
