INTRODUCTION

Broad-base training

At IESEG a solid general education is regarded as an essential basis to high-level management training.

IESEG graduates are considered international business managers: people that are able to produce conceptual analysis and - overall - to take leading business decisions.

Internationally-approved diplomas

All IESEG diplomas receive the official stamp of the French Ministry of National Education. This approval guarantees the quality of the school’s teaching. It also provides the needed international credibility to develop international student exchange programmes with other universities: a great help when it comes to applying for postgraduate studies worldwide.

Lille Catholic University

With 1 260 students, IESEG and the Lille Catholic University provide a pleasant and student-focused environment within their vast campus (6 faculties, 25 schools, 13 libraries, and facilities for 16,800 students).

Our Library of Economics and Management (run by IESEG & other partner institutions) contains more than 36,000 books, 2,000 reviews, as well as multimedia content. With over 17,000 sq. ft., the library is an excellent source of information with Internet access and extensive reference works.

A larger network

IESEG is a member of:

     Lille Catholic University,
The French Higher Education Guild (La Conférence des Grandes Ecoles et le Chapitre des Ecoles de Management),
EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development),
AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business),
FESIC (Federation of Engineering and Management Schools - Fédération d’Ecoles Supérieures d’Ingénieurs et Cadres). The Federation consists of twenty-six schools with one common objective: to provide teachings that encourage high level scientific and technological knowledge,

ADER, the Association des Grandes Ecoles de la Région Nord-Pas de Calais (The Federation of Higher Educational Institutions in the North and Pas-de Calais regions),
  The Lille Management Centre,

The Lille European University Centre, an initiative that unites the academic world with the business community.

For IESEG, membership to this network – and the collective thought-process that results – enable the school to develop continuously advanced teaching programmes. Overall, it responds to the ever-changing requirements of students in an environment of constantly evolving references.

Research

Faculty at IESEG is also highly involved in research.

Some research work is carried-out in collaboration with LEM (Lille Economy and Management, http://www.ifresi.univ-lille1.fr/site/1_Presentation/11_Presentation/Laboratoires/LEM.htm), a laboratory associated with CNRS - the French National Centre of Scientific Research. This high-level scientific research guarantees a stimulating intellectual environment for students.

Student status

Students at IESEG benefit from a nationally recognised student status, i.e. access to university accommodation, student insurance and, of course, to student grants.

IESEG also offers financial insurance to cover fees in the event of financial hardship (e.g. the unemployment of a parent).

A healthy student environment

Lille is considered as a model university city in France; it is second only to Paris in terms of student population size. As such, it is one of the leading producers of engineers and business managers in Europe. The Catholic University's status is private; it is hence in competition – but also in partnership – with the area's three national universities: Lille, Tourcoing and Roubaix.
